WHAT IS A GICLEE'?
A Giclee' (pronounced geeclay) is a reproduction of an oil painting printed on canvas.  Modern giclees use archival inks that will resist humidity and UV rays for at least 80 years; and when given a final varnish against smudging, a giclee can be framed without glass, matting, or mounting board.  Just hang it in a beautiful frame and it will be virtually indistinguishable from an original oil.
But a giclee is not only durable, it is practical.  It's easier to transport and to hang because it is lighter.  There's nothing to break, crack or clean.  It hangs so much like an oil painting that it simply must be placed in a room with furniture.
So you can purchase a giclee from my galleries with the assurance of its durability and likeness to the original, with all of the features that make it a premier value for the discriminating collector.

 WHY THESE PICTURES ARE UNIQUE:
I am very proud of this selection of pictures because I tried something unique when painting them.  Instead of painting childish pictures for a child's room, I tried to paint pictures that would be appropriate for a child's room but which the child would want to retain as an adult.  I knew I succeeded after someone who bought a picture for her neice decided to keep it for herself.  Her phone call to order another picture  is a wonderul memory.
