WHAT IS A GICLEE'?
     A Giclee' (pronounced geeclay) is a reproduction of an oil painting printed on canvas.  Today's giclee's are printed using archival inks with UV and humidity resistance so high that they will outlast any other form of color reproduction.  When sprayed with a protective finish, a canvas giclee will not need glass, matting or mounting.  Just hang it in a ready made or custom made oil frame and it will be virtually indistinguishable from an original oil painting. 
     But a giclee' is not only durable, it's practical.  It's easier to transport and to hang because it's lighter.  There's nothing to break, crack, or clean.  It looks and hangs so much like an oil painting, it simply belongs in a room with furniture.  In everyway it's easier to frame, hang, and place than anything that's come before.
